About me
Hi, I'm Raven.
I learned from an early age how to listen, how to hold space, how to smooth things over—even when I was hurting too. In my big, complex family, love and loyalty ran deep, but so did silence and pain. I didn’t have the language for it then, but I could feel how much wasn’t being said. I also knew that culture, laughter, and joy meant everything to our survival along the way.
That’s what led me here. I’ve always cared about what lives beneath the surface—how people carry their stories, their identities, their survival strategies. I value relationship and compassion above all else and center both in my practice and in my interactions with everyone around me.
My practice focuses on working with children and families experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges as well as with women who need support as they navigate life changes or conflict in interpersonal/family relationships. I ground my practice in deep compassion and hope for positive change. I believe every human, at any age, has the capacity to learn, evolve, and find peace. In therapy, I work with clients to build awareness of their mind and body and the skills to show up the way they’d like in all the spaces that matter. We partner all the way through, utilizing the strengths you already have in you.

Credentials and Approach
I’m a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and a Certified Mediator. I also serve as Faculty for the Parenting Journey organization.
In my work with children, I utilize child-focused interventions from evidence-based models such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children (MBCT-C), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). My training in mediation includes co-parenting mediation and I am also certified in the New Ways for Families curriculum from the High Conflict Institute.
When working with women, I ground myself in a relationship-focused approach, using tools from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and other mindfulness-based practices that help clients connect more deeply with their bodies.
With all of my clients, I center the impact of their unique cultural experiences and I also recognize how culture, race, gender, and class play a role in their everyday lives.
